Uh... your *neighbors* are smoking and this is stinking up your apartment? Maybe a candle will take care of it, hopefully, otherwise there may be little hope. I'm grateful to mostly not be able to *hear* what's going on next door, let alone smell it.

Short of that... maybe consider taking up smoking and then it won't bother you nearly so much. :-)

But incidentally... we smokers can't smell a dang thing anymore... that's how we deal with it. :-)

Neutra-Air works wonders on making any smell disappear. And it leaves a clean smell in the air...no heavy perfume stuff.

Oh yeah, and at only 99 cents a can, you can use it liberally. *grin*

Neighbors = people in the apartment right below me. They're out on their balcony, smoking; I've got my balcony door open; the smoke drifts right in. I swear, this isn't one of those "He's sealed in his house, a hundred feet away, and his secondhand smoke is killing me!" deals.

They're also kinda noisy. What'm I going to do, though, they could get a lot worse.

Oh, before I go... you might look for an air purifier/ionizer... we got one at Walmart manufactured by Holmes, IIRC the price was ~$39.95. It worked great for us!

Harumph! I remember the ~good old days~ where you'd hang ou with us online while you watched TV.

*wink* See you later, chica.

It's a great and affordable solution for now, but I'd consider Bear's suggestion for a long-term resolution.

LOL! That blue drink reminds me of the stuff Aunt Beru was serving in the first "Star Wars" :) Either that or Kool-Aid!

Wow, for that price, I'd get one! Maybe I'll check Wal-Mart next time.

Turns out my office has a window that opens. I did today. It helped 100%... I think things are going to be ok there, in every respect. Hee... I got root today... only the boss was so embarrassed to tell me the password, he, um, gave me the wrong thing and I had to get it from a co-worker. Seems they didn't expect a girl to get the job. The passwords are all based on phrases from "Beavis and Butthead" and the poor guy was worried I'd be horribly offended...

Roger that... and having been an apartment dweller for many years it's only the beginning of the various annoyances that apartment neighbors will provide.

I found that it pays to grow a pretty thick skin. Try to ignore the minor annoyances and then choose your battles carefully for the major ones. Ruthee's suggestion for the air de-stinker is actually a pretty good one. If you become known as a "complainer" among your neighbors, then you'll find that they'll ignore you more and more, even for the big stuff.

hehehe...I've got to head to bed soon anyway. I can't stand being on the East Coast sometimes. It seems that just when the night begins, it ends.
