LOL! No rush on writing back, take your time to absorb it. I'm writing my comments on the next section now, should have that done shortly.
It's hard to recover from some of these movies--I'm still healing from "Manos" for instance.
Thanks for the info! The question then for the character, who is based in the 18th century, and is of the middle class, is whether or not he would have the opportunity to train for the use of the sword. I am still unclear as to what level someone is determined a gentleman, as there was a rise in the landed gentry in the 18th century and more families prospering to the degree that they could take on 'noble' pretenses. But I am fuzzy on what distinctions would be made. For this character, he is in the 'family business' but has no financial sway over it. So I am not sure if he would have the ability to use his leisure time to study. My thoughts are that he would, since the younger siblings, left without a means of taking up the financial reins often entered into the military. I just havent decided about thsi character. I have let it languish for some time, and in pulling it out, am discovering there are still a lot of holes to be filled
Never even heard of that. Did you get "Bebop", too?
"As I understand it, Hair doesn't like going to town."
I'm still con-fu-zed, but that's nothing new :)
I've heard that! I'd go see it in the theater, but I don't want to go to town! I'll rent it when it's on DVD though, I like the film-maker's other stuff.
"No Tonto! Don't go to ~town~ you always get beat up when you go to town!"
LOL! I remember seeing that quote the other day--still trying to remember where it's from. I guess I need to watch more "Lone Ranger" reruns or something :)
thought I'd share!
What do you mean?
Tired all - and going to bed..... talk to ya in the morning!
Yep... I've seen the first four episodes before, and I know how it ends (the ending of Cowboy Bebop is probably the most-spoiled thing in all anime) so I should be able to keep track...
It just has such lovely animation. Something subtly wrong with a lot of the human figures, but lovely nonetheless.
Thanks for mentioning that! I've always found Ivan's posts very informative, and will definitely check out the site.
Heh, the first episode of "Bebop" I ever saw on Cartoon Network was the second-last one, so yeah, it's pretty spoiled :) I still enjoyed catching up and seeing how they got to that point, though.
I like how "Bebop" is able to integrate anime-style art with Western-style film characteristics. It has a hardboiled detective feel to it along with a "Godfather" sort of ambience. The music is also very well-done.
Click on the links, especially the one for the Earl of Pembroke ... wotta hound!
