Hmm... was it pizza or chinese? Those are my two order-out low carb weaknesses...

What's wrong with your day? Can I complain about mine even if it was mostly fun? I'm still exhausted... and working on laundry...

He ordered raviolis with a salad. I guess we'll start the diet tomorrow Again. :P. Oh well.

Jen- my day was just long. I'm cross-eyed from post processing pages of data.

The people I work for just don't appreciate my *genius* (j/k)(only a little). The results of the sensitivity study I'm working on will save money by demonstrating how a major proposed analysis is pointless. However she-who-needs-ritalin after seeing results from A, B, and C says today, "why don't you run D, E, F, too?" Because 1) DUH A, B, C demonstrate that D, E, F aren't necessary. and 2) I don't have *time.* ARGH. I have to brief this stuff to God and a couple of generals week after next. I'm stressin' big time.

Oh. Fun. What a pain.

I've been having some very flattering experiences... several of the professors I met in March have come up to me and shown that they remember meeting with me, which is quite something. My boss seems a little uncomfortable with the fact that I'm a girl. He's got this "please don't think we're horrible crude people because of X" attitude... oh, and I ingratiated myself with the secretaries (most important people in a school to keep happy. They're as important as your thesis advisor!) by doing this upgrade they've been asking for since June.

And did I mention that it is soooo fun to watch how my co-workers react? One in particular is a dear. He insists on holding the door for me every time... :-)

I'm at a CS department. That wasn't a terribly risky assumption ;-)

Most of the male students and professors are geeks. I'd say it's about fifty-fifty for female students - not counting the foreign female students, I can never tell if they're geeks or not. The two female professors aren't quite... close, but not quite... and then there are the instructors.

One of the female instructors is apparently going to be the bane of my existence but she's been gone this week. The guys call her "the wicked witch of the west" and she teaches the "How to use MS Office" required class for all the undergrads. Which means when Bobbi Sue Psych Major messes up the pc she was using, I'm the one who gets to fix the damage. Yesterday.

At least you don't have to teach them.

I tested out of my lame, mandatory, intro-to-everything class and got to work as an aide in the lab for the practical portion of the class. "messed up PC" takes on a whole new dimension when the clueless are involved. Thank goodness I didn't have to try to fix anything. (I'm bad at that kind of thing.)

Heh, no, and thank goodness I'm not TAing that class. Apparently it has a really high TA turnover rate... from the students and the teacher.

Ok, clothes done! I'm going for a walk.

I've got the kiddies settled here too, so I'm playing another one of those mind-numbing online games.

Sweet bliss after the stupidity I had to deal with today at work (trainings, payrolls, client issues, etc).
