Yes, I've been seeing ads for that, as well as previews at the theater. It looks very impressive! From what I've read on IMDB, though, it's a Hong Kong production actually made in the mid-90s. Tarantino's production company is financing its U.S. release.

Any recommendations?

Teen Titans! The one written by Geoff Johns, with art by Mike McKone, not the one based on the TV series. Especially recommend the first half-dozen or so issues; if you can't find the back issues, they've been collected in a trade paperback. Very good stuff, imho!

Oh, okay. I thought that was unusual Tarantino was directing it because usually Jet's movies are re-releases of his Hong Kong productions. In any case, it looks really good!

Thanks ksen! Episode 44 is out, WOOT! I'm downloading now...

I had a good first day of work. The three guys I'll be working with are nice. Two of 'em are even anime geeks.

First screen went easy that time. The alien didn't show up! I found Prego the Mama Fish this time.

What year was that published? I haven't read "Titans" since the Wolfman-Perez era.

They weren't going to replace it (modem), but Jeanne convinced 'em to, and talked them into lowering the rate for 6 months while she was at it. Hopefully, I'll never go against her in a business deal;-)

It's pretty new, only about 13 or so issues published so far. Trade paperback was released a couple of months ago.

That must be a nice locale to do still-life sketches. Do you ever draw ocean/fish scenes BTW? One artist I really like is Richard Ellis who paints sharks and dolphins and whales. Here's a sample of his work:

Richard Ellis Gallery of Sharks

Click on the "Mako Shark" link for a good example.

Yes, I remember when yours got fried. I think mine is actually on a surge protecter, but the electrons, or whatever, got past it.

It's been a while since a day went by without storms, hasn't it? And from the looks of things in the tropics, it's going to continue.

I guess we needed the rain, though, after the way summer started.

Mosquitos are getting out of hand in this neighborhood, how are they where you live?

Aliens show up on the second level. :-)

Keep 'em cornered until they're dead. Otherwise you'll chase them around the whole tank while they eat all of your fish.

Keep shooting them in the head to keep em in check.

Absolutely horrific!! I expect they'll be building a landing strip soon. :-)

Remember I'm so far west, it's practically Everglades. I'm on 152 Ave and Miller.

He's a top-ranking Chinese martial artist who went into acting and directing. He's done some really innovative stuff with choreography which has to be seen to believed. He makes Jackie Chan look slow. What's really neat about his Chinese films is the plots are also very well-written. Some of his early films are very reminsicent of Shakespearian comedy--really funny stuff, mixed with great action. His US stuff has been okay but not of the same quality, mostly. He played the villain in "Lethal Weapon 4" where he did some pretty nice stunts.
