"Cool! That covers some essential Marvel history."

There's some classic stuff in that run: Gwen/Goblin, Punisher, Jackal. One of the first Spideys I ever read was the Power Records reprint of #124 with the Man-Wolf so I'm kind of partial to that part of the series.

I never read the "Marvels" graphic novel--what's that about?

I never read the "Marvels" graphic novel--what's that about?

"Marvels" was a four issue limited series written by Kurt Busiek and drawn by Alex Ross. It's been collected in graphic novel format. The premise is an ordinary man's view of Marvel history, from its start in the 40s through the 60s. The "ordinary guy" in this case is a news photographer who makes a name for himself from his photos of what he calls the "Marvels", the superheroes of the Marvel Universe. Great story, and great art, IMHO!
