Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's still over 80 here, even though it's almost eight o'clock.
To me...that's just WRONG.

It finally cooled down to 70 here--was able to turn off the air conditioner and open the windows and there's a nice breeze :)

The trade-off is it's sometimes 70 below wind chill in winter. . .

I'm up to Episode 5 now. The minstrel assassin who kills with bugs is a really cool concept. The Baroness' hairdo makes her look kinda like Wolverine in retirement, though. . .

It was nice, though! Seventies in the hottest part of summer, twenties in the winter. That's just about perfect in my book.
Except that it was also almost always cloudy. But I got used to that after awhile.

OT: yup, the mid-west is changable to say the least, it's also been 110 at this time of year. I'll take the 70's.
Fedora; they seem to know season is over.

I could get used to it being cold better than dealing with the cloudy stuff!

I did the place quiz: results were in Texas, Florida and Georgia.
From the app: Are you presently employed? "Yes"
If yes, why do you desire to change your position? "My current work is low-level, without opportunity for advancement; low-skill, without need for further study; low-paying, with little likelihood of improvement; and in an industry for which I have no great love."
"Furthermore, my boss is an idiot; his boss is a taciturn freak; and his boss is evil incarnate."
Actually, I left that last bit out. All true, though.
