Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I have a manga question that I was hoping one of you two might know the answer to. In American comics, the layout of the first page is usually a single panel, as opposed to the standard multi-panel layout. Is that also true in manga?

Ruthie; better luck "tomorrow". Though I have had limited success with home improvement deliveries on Fridays, unless they just drop it off.
Evening All; catching up, night meetings and projects have 'seriesly' cut into freepin.

That's why I listed it way down the list :) "If there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the planet that it's farthest from." :) Of course I guess Hoth is probably worse. . .Alderaan ain't no fun anymore, either--unless you're in one of the prequels, maybe. . .

I'm trying to think of some reason why I NEED to go to the grocery or Wal-Mart, just so I have an excuse to get out of the house. But I don't need anything...and mindlessly meandering doesn't sound like fun.

And Coruscant is a PITA to live on unless you can afford to live above 7500 AGL and within 45 degrees (long. or lat.) of the Senate...

I'm going to start filling out another job app now...let's see how this goes...
Oh. It's for "Facilities and Grounds" with a publishing company where two of my relatives work.
Yes, like Hagrid ("Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts"), but shorter; and without wands, dragon-eggs or meddling kids.

just so I have an excuse to get out of the house. We're supposed to have highs in the 70's this weekend. I think I'll need to make some soup.
