Yes it is. It opened in 1963. Of course, it is completely different now. You will have to go again sometime... Especially now that the ballpark is next door! The Washington Senators moved to Arlington in the early 1970's aka the Texas Rangers.

Well...originally they said "Let's go to somewhere like New Brunswick!" I said OK...but I always end up telling everyone what we're gonna do, and I don't like that. Plus they aren't at work, most of 'em. Plus I'm more broke, so I'm mostly gonna be along for the ride, but they don't wanna drive, so I guess that's part of my payment.

So...I suggested they pick a town or a campground or an island or somewhat and make reservations.

Didn't happen, and now it's so late I dunno if it WILL happen. Most places are booked solid this late in the game.

But the drummer with our group told us last night about a place he's been occasionally - he said it's rarely crowded, there's a hotel that's nice yet inexpensive, and a lot of beach, though it's too cold to swim. Campobello Island - just past Maine. It's still a longer drive than I've ever done, but I'm tryin' to get better at that, which is one of the reasons I want to do this trip in the first place. Practice run for Entmoot 2005. ;-)

Now we'll have to see if there are any open rooms or campsites...

I haven't been to Texas (except for changing planes) since my brother was at the Air Force base in Lubbuck. Or at least that's where he lived, and that was the early 70's.

We'll probably be spending more time there in the next few years though, because #2 son is starting Grad School at UT Austin in the fall, and #1 son is considering law firms there for jobs when he finishes school.

I enjoyed myself an adult entertainment beverage

Question...

Is an adult entertainment beverage a beverage one drinks whilst watching adult entertainment? Or does one begin to entertain himself and others while drinking the beverage?

;-)

Good morning!

I think I'll just rent a garage here at the apt. to put the overflow in. I'll go from near empty to stacks of stuff. :)

Heh...I see you've already found the "all music that is touched in any way by anything secular is evil" thread.

Heaven forbid that a Christian artist might be influenced musically by the Beatles! Unholy...

Racebannon cracks me up sometimes.

Let's try to keep this a family thread.

Hey! I made Steve a PIZZA last night when he came in from school! Just a little individual pizza but he LOVED it...the first time he's had something like that since starting Atkins.

½ Flatout Carbdown flatbread, cut into a circle (4g net carbs)
¼ C Carb Options Spaghetti sauce (2.5g net carbs)
1 oz (weighed) shredded mozzerella cheese. (>1g)
6 pepperonis(>1g)

We're looking at around 7 carbs here! He ate it with bliss on his face! LOL

These flatbreads are sold here at Walmart by the deli...they are thicker and chewier than the Mission tortillas I normally use for wraps. They are 8g net for the entire flatbread but it really is too much for me to eat. They are elongated...shaped like the track around a football field, you know? I cut them in half and make sandwiches out of them.

The website doesn't mention the Carbdown ones they make...they are brand new, I think!
