Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Evenin' Master Osage!
*sigh* Seems like ages since KC-Moot, doesn't it? I can't wait to see you and LSA again!
What do you think of Entmoot 2005 in the spring rather than the fall?

Hello there, Master Sea-man!
And how are you today? What's this about you staying at home today to work?
And how do I get that job? <grin>

Ruthie, it surely does, although it wasn't all that long ago.
Well, spring has the wildflowers, trees leafing out, undergrowth isn't too thick yet, ticks and such usually aren't too bad, streams are floatable, fishing usually better, temps pretty nice, sure cure for cabin fever.
Fall has the colors of the rainbow in trees, it's hunting season, temps are moderating after summer, not too cool yet, streams are wadeable, humidity is less.
both seasons are quite pleasent in the midwest, they generally seem too short, we had great weather all June this year and October was great last year.
Kindofatossup.

That is a tough one to decide. Well, I'd say the spring, but only cuz it's ooner! *grin*
But I do love a nice autumn. We don't have that season down here. We don't have winter either for that matter, but I think Entmoot should be snow-free. :-)
