Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

"Melting point of 6000k posts..

Well, I think it's around 6000, but I'm not sure of the exact temperature. It's a figure of speech--kind of like "blessed are the cheesemakers".

Is Norkell related to jackalopes?

Norkell are house sized tougher than a mack truck rabbit with an attitude to match.

The melting point of a thread varies depending on the thread 'material' right?

Good evening! I'm here for a while. Steve and jedis crashed, sleeping that deep sleep that comes from much swimming in a pool.

Yes. Asbestos threads melt at higher temperatures than normal threads. I think this thread has the melting point of lembas.

Trying to envision Bugs Bunny the size of a truck--"Nyah [munch, munch, munch], what's up, Mac?" Elmer would need a mighty big Holy Hand Grenade. . .

Is it time for a new thread yet? *grin*

BTW, the brush fires have gotten so bad here, part of the turnpike has been shut down completely. I can only imagine what traffic will be like tomorrow since everyone will be using community roads. *shudder*

Aren't we supposed to start a new thread every 5K posts or so?

Depends on whether or not it's a eutectic thread.

Yes--I believe that's Hair's department :)

You have brush fires by you? Has it been really dry by you? Here it's been overcast all week, though it hasn't actually rained much yet. It cooled down a lot today also and there are tornadoes in other parts of the state, though not here yet.

Boy I always call it Lobelia, but searching by just that name gets me other things....

Found it only one site, but it is pretty commonly found in garden stores in the spring.... It'll fill in ans spread as a ground cover, I was hoping it would trail down over my pots. It's such a vivide pretty blue.

Lobelia Maritime blue
Lobelia Maritime blue
This plant features masses of dainty incredible blue flowers that bloom all summer. Will grow in full sun to partial shade. Don't let this one totally dry out. Grows best in cool, moist soil. Very attractive planted with other annuals. Low growing masses can spill over the side of a container or make a nice mound in the garden. Gorgeous in hanging baskets.

Doing alright, 2J! ;-)

The kids are settled in for the most part, so I'm enjoying a few minutes of hanging out in here before I have to get to bed.

I imagine the next thread move will be sudden and unexpected, as tradition dictates. LOL!

If you link the thread with other threads to form a thread alloy it can become eutectic, right?

The fires were started by lightnin', but we never got any real heavy rain with the storms. Lots of gusty breezes though, so it spread quick and the smoke is everywhere!

We're hoping to get some good downpours through here soon to help our firefighters get the job done. *fingers crossed*
