When'd ya get back? Okay trip?
Uh, everything okay? Other than too much work to do?
Fantasy...he's my namesake (doi! as if you couldnt tell) He's elven, he's rugged, he'll kick your...well, anyway, he's my protag. Thing is I can always think of lovely ways to begin...and I had the ending all figured out a long time ago...its that blasted middle Ihave been struggling thorugh. That, and the time line. It all seems to happen at once in my brain. Alkhin isnt really the problem though..its my villain and the twin princes I have involved.
We're gonna chat-view in a half hour. Don't guess you can make that.... but ya might get in on the end of it. You prolly have the gist of the story anyway.
Every winter, my daddy would make a mayonnaise jar of "cough medicine." We'd drive around looking for a pharmacy old-fashioned enough to carry rock candy, which he would put in the jar first. Then he would pour bourbon over it, almost filling the jar, and then he would top it off with lemon and orange slices, and sometimes maraschino cherries.
I first remember him making it when I was five or so.
Better'n Nyquil!
(((Thanks muchly!)))
It was a very... intense trip. Many marathon meetings full of too many things stacked up to possibly ever get done. Sigh.
Active Directory and server 2003 rollout is finished. Nobody even noticed.
Now, onward to the Exchange 2003 deployment. *that* one is gonna be messy.
It takes a while but you can make rock candy
Amazing how well those homemade things work.
Jill called once asking me how I made the tea for her. Abby was coughing at night and Jill couldn't get her to stop. She had a prescription but it wasn't working. She knew my recipe would. :-)
I think that call was about 3AM one morning. I think Abby was about 18 months old. Was when they still lived in Florida. LOL
Im there!!!
Blame everything on Bill Gates!
Good job! Those folks don't *get* what you've accomplished. Folks around here get it and appreciate that kind of work.
Things getting messy... don't they stay that way? :-)
((((Ramius))))
why?... he wuz just a cute li'l harmless garter snake... I want them around...
I think every writer I know has the same lament. Beginning's easy, and we know the end, but how to get there....
Hmm... maybe when the acne cream has the consistency of plasma, it's no good anymore. I haven't had an outbreak in ages, and I used some old stuff and my face feels stiff, all of a sudden.
I don't!
Say... I think I have the answer to the 1024x768 display debacle that y'all were talking about earlier...
It sounds like an (all-too common) misunderstood IT recommendation by some executive. The IT group probably *recommended* to somebody somewhere that they should set their display to *at least* 1024x768 in order to get something like the company web page or some application to display properly.
Some apps, and some pages, don't display nice when they are displayed at too low a res, like 800x600. Buttons vanish offscreen or text doesn't wrap right.
For example: our company intranet has all manner of page layout stuff going on, and it was literally designed to look best at *at least* 1024x768. Lower than that and it looks goofy. I've told people that on many occasions that they should be using 1024 *or higher* in order for our, and indeed most, web pages to look right. Same goes for many different applications.
I'd bet money that some excutive was told this or overheard it... then proceeded to get it wrong as an order that every machine *must be exactly* 1024x768... and there you have it.
Sadly... many company policies get set this way, in my experience.
already gots an inventory list of the correct bolts I need tuh buy when I drop off the radiator...
it may have been what he had around, but it's still half @$$ed... cain't stand that...
*sniff* that's just beautiful...
yah... the Balrog will get a 16GB limit instead of a 2GB limit.
I'll bet he fills it before the end of the year. :-)
It's like trying to improve traffic by building more lanes. It don't work that way... If you build it, they will come. :-)
Can you fix that problem with the world for us? :-)
Today? :-D
*scratching*
dude... yer front teeth are startin' tuh protrude...
