Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Nope, two weeks ago. Last Friday I was in Maine!
But in other words...my day was already pretty bad. ;-)
I'm just glad it was a Friday, so I had a weekend to rest up afterwards!

I'd o' had a *real* hard time with that experience. I thought it was horrible to encounter that one last Friday from the seat of a riding lawnmower! egads!
*snif*
That Friday before, I was still in Washington - driving through some scenery you woulda liked!

Hi. Ruthy told me about the chat view and no, I don't have the EE or any of them actually. I am holding out for the super duper deluxe of all three movies, which hopefully will come out this Christmas because I don't know how much longer I can wait. If I am still mobile later I may go to Ruthy's and chat view from there. :-)

Least we don't have anything pizenous here...
And apparently the story got out. Everywhere I go at the college now, people ask if I'd had to charm any snakes lately... *sigh*
I'm glad that's not a frequent occurence!

The trip? Ended up being fun, though of course nothing like we imagined! We mostly stayed at a nice campground in ME. And the best part...might just have been sitting in the sun outside my tent with a good book, while the brothers played with the campfire. Not the most EXCITING part...but I'm not all that big on unsought excitement...

Teacups are in the van too.
Got some coffee mugs.

I'm glad that's not a frequent occurence! If it were, I'd have to change jobs.
We've had trouble with all kinds of critters in our building, but thankfully when *those* have been found I have not been there - or Gene has been kind enough *not* to tell me!

Hasbeen took the kids to pick up the eldest from Gramas and brother and family went to get dinner. They should be back in about 10 minutes at which time I will probably go to the bookstore :-)
