Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"Where did everyone go? *snif* I did have a shower.... ;-)"
Don't worry, that was Ruthy and Corin that scared everyone away--they mentioned Hillary Clinton's ankles :)

Hey, you can take it! You're a Stephen King fan remember?
Oh wait. Not even King could come up with anything nearly as horrifying as The Evil Cankle!!! (cue up Halloween theme)

The wedding was *perfect*.
Catch the bouquet??? [ahem] Well... no... that would be for the *ladies* and I do believe it was Rutheeeeee! that had that honor.
As for the garter... uh.... no. Didn't catch that either. The throw went wide and it ended up in the hands of a ten year old that had no idea what he'd done. :-)

The Cankle is even more horrifying than "It". Actually now that you mention it, that *would* make a good horror story. . .

And thankfully, wedding tradition was NOT followed and the 10 year old was not required to put the garter on my leg! *grin*
Having weird internet problems here at home too. But I'm on dial-up, so it's prolly AOHell acting up again.

Great, weather 'bout perfect, mid 60's at night, hi 70's to low 80's during the day. And I got Friday scheduled off - four days total.
To: trini
Now all we have to do is find her a hubby. Well, there is one fool guy that just needs to get his stuff together! You know of whom I speak!

I'm thinking we ought to just get them a backgammon set and be done with it. Why is it that some guys can have a good thing right in front their faces and not go for it? Any guys wanna take that one? ;-)

Glad to hear you're not ignoring me--I was sniffing myself for a minute :) BTW I saw a Sting concert once where he played some old Police songs from that album--it was pretty cool.
