Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'd o' voted for Camp G'nad myself! Well, it's cheaper than Brazil in the short term.... but not in the long term psychiatric care.

Yeah, but YOUR mom is that much older than ME! Age makes no difference to hypochondriacs! Trust me on this. ;-)

but not in the long term psychiatric care. Careful now. You're starting to sound like she-who-must-not-have-a-house-dropped-on-her...

hehehehe.....my mom was complaining to me tonight that she still hasn't readjusted to Miami time since her Alaska trip. So, of course, that's why she has to take just half a Xanax tonight to help her rest. LOL!!
I have perfected the art of answering her without hearing her..."Oh, wow. That's terrible. I hope you feel better."

Well, I'm whining now. But things are really SO much better than they were last winter.
We just have to adjust again. Some of this is fallout from the wife being gone for 10 days and Nana having to stay with the older sister (the one she's now pissed off).
The best thing is that, after the inital ugliness of the hip and other stuff in the winter, wife and I are able to not take it out on each other. We can commiserate together.
We can also out strategerize the heck out of her...

No wonder you never get to watch Stephen King! :) Do you take care of Alyson during the day or does she have a babysitter?--I don't know what you do for work, so forgive me if that's a dumb question :)

Isn't there a big Bingo festival/convention in El Salvador next month? Tickets are cheap there this time of year.

Not a dumb question at all.
My mom stays home and watches the kids while I work full-time at a payroll company.
That's the quick version. :-)
