Yes - busy! But, with jet lag and 6AM here being 4AM there and the kids getting here that early I'm kinda lacking in catch-up sleep now! LOL

Thank you! But, ya'll don't know how close you came to having me show back up yesterday!!!
It seems that American severly overbooked all flights to Dallas yesterday. From the time I got through security until I left (2 hours) they were continually announcing that they wanted volunteers to give up their flights to Dallas yesterday in exchange for $400 vouchers for future flights and tickets back to Dallas anytime between Monday and Friday this week. If I hadn't already turned in the rental car I prolly woulda done it! :-)
I did volunteer to take a later flight out yesterday than my original flight so that others who were making connecting flights in Dallas could make those flights. For this I got a $200 travel voucher and they ended up getting me back on my same flight after all!
Well, I've decided that dinner will be "chicken something."
Wife's plane lands at Dulles in about 2 1/2 hours. I figure with customs and travel time to Richmond, they'll be at the church between midnite and 1:00 a.m.
Let's just pray Luke can get to sleep. If'n he does, I'll check in then.

Me too! But, I seem to be okay for the moment. Was having trouble and getting a lot of disconnects earlier. Took forever just to get my email!

I thought it was cool though! Since I didn't have anyone picking me up at the airport I figured it didn't matter if I landed in Dallas at 7 or 10:30 so I let them switch me to a flight departing at 4:55. So, I was sitting there kinda getting ready to nap in the airport and thinking I'd use the voucher to go see my grandkids when they called my name to be the last one to board the original flight! Heck! Wasn't gonna argue with them!
I didn't have the shoes of power! Do you think my just *touching* them did this for me?!?! :-)
No.... it wasn't the shoes.... this is a ~good~ thing that happened! ;~D

After our experience with Ruthy missing her flight I had a lot of sympathy for those missing flights. I figured it was only a small thing for me to wait a while to fly compared to other people missing flights and having people waiting for them too. Really wished I'd known all this stuff so would have been able to hang around with ya'll a little longer but still I thought it was the decent thing to do. As it is, I think it kinda gives proof that every now and then, if ya do something just to be nice - something nice will happen to you. :-)
