Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You big cheater! LOL!!
I've got to get to bed too. Don't want to, ~have~ to.
I have so many payrolls tomorrow, I have no idea how I'll get them all done. I may not be around until tomorrow night late, so I'll see you when I see you.
Nighty night, Fedora and everyone!

Some good new ones.... we'll post when we get home and can edit them. We'll be putting up a page, I think we've got them all now! Hope they're dial-up friendly :)
Pore ol' 33.6 modem...the oldest part of my computer, which resembles the car Johnny Cash sang about...

Hello all. Just got home and lugged all my stuff in. Haven't been here for almost 3 weeks. Haven't missed it either! :-)
BTW, Bear, I turned on the A/C window unit in the den. Think I'll sleep on the couch in here tonight. hehehe

Are you feeling ok? ;) I'm tryin' to take some readin's on that. Maybe it's just a temporary illness. Aunt Cheryl keeps her t'stat in the upper 60's and I've been battling that all week. From 68 to 90 is a pretty sudden change. LOL

It cooled down a lot here today, too--from near 90 yesterday down to maybe the 60s, I think.

Will be going to bed soon here... Rose starts a new schedule tomorrow, she has to be at work at 6:00 am. Which means we have to be up and about at 4:30 am... and neither one of us are morning people.
To: Fedora
It has cooled down to 84 here. That's comfortable. I should turn the A/C off soon.

84 sounds nice. I get a good breeze here if I open both windows. Only problem then is all the bugs outside seem to think my light is calling them :)

Ah... you have real summer there. I endure
faux summer here...when I went to one of the local pools (opening day, July 1), the air temp was a mere 81 degrees. Nearly half the people there (mostly kids) were actually
shivering, something that I with my remaining winter blubber layer avoided until I'd been there for 90 minutes. Since then we have had 70s and rain, and the forecast for the coming week says more of the same. Wimpy-a$$ed summer...I won't be at the pool this week.
How's the employment outlook down your way? I'm only half kidding...

Good night everyone!

How's the employment outlook down your way? I'm only half kidding... Well, things are picking up industrially here. Don't know what you're lookin' for. BUT, if I were to find something to do in a place I liked better than *this* place, there would be an opening for a college CADD instructor!
