Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"You can try all you want to assimilate them, but there are just too many of them. There are so few Anglos left in Miami, and long-time Americans from Cuba have left as well."
So who's mostly coming into Miami now?

Pastor ItsOurTimeNow? It has a ring to it :) Maybe Seamus could change his screen name to "For Such a Time as This."
To: Corin Stormhands; ItsOurTimeNow
Or abbreviate it to "Pastor Timely" :)

Does anyone else have a problem keeping their computer clock-time in synch with real time? Mine keeps getting ahead of real time for some reason and I have to reset it every few weeks. I last reset it just a few weeks ago and today it was up to nearly 15 minutes ahead of real time. I reset it in synch with FReeper time :)

Man, there were some huge fireworks all around us last night -- we could see them all the way over on Fox Island, and up along the crest of the hill behind us. Hmmmm... .wish I'd o' been there to see that. :-)

I got most of the papers sorted....found the voter registration form. Guess I'd better get that ready to go out in the mail tomorrow.
Just finished some hotwings (didn't have any blue cheese dressing, though) and the Cubs are playing.
To: Corin Stormhands
You sure do have a lot of adventures for a hobbit. Oh yeah.... ;~D
