The Hobbit Hole XII - Tree and flower and leaf and grass

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

The bridesmaids (and I have no idea how many) were all wearing their own wedding dresses...

Oh how weird! :~D

The old adage "Go with what you know" applies heavily in regards to salons!

Amen, sis. I've not gone to any kind of salon in so long I don't know the rules anymore! Steve used to cut my hair, then the guy at the trade school. Then I went to Walmart and had my hair "trimmed" for the Wedding and did I tell you about that? The girl kept cutting and cutting!! My hair used to be about 3" longer than you saw it! I'm going to my mom's salon from now on...it'll cost a fortune, but I only get my hair cut 2-3 times a year! It's worth it to have it done right.

But once my cuticles quit aching, the nails do look gorgeous. I think I'm hooked on this manicure business...not a good thing! LOL

That's only the beginning of the weirdness.

This was his second marriage, her first. He has two boys by the first wife. He has custody of one, she the other. S-i-l and her hubby were to have the boy who lives with his father for two weeks during the honeymoon. Supposedly, the boys can't live together because of this one's "preferences," if you get my drift.

He's nine.

Well, specially not if you're gonna go noodlin' and diggin' up horseshoe crabs all the time...

~blinking~

Having the groomsmen all wear wedding dresses would have been funnier.

I ~love~ that pic of Sam and Rosie Bear!

What a cool idea! I'll have to set up on of my teddies as Pippin and have him holding the bouquet. *grin*

It's better, IMHO, to get less frequent manicures and have them done right, than get butchered one a week!

I haven't treated myself to a manicure in ages!!

I haven't got the patience to just sit there though....

Yes, I agree...I think that is what happened. But see, I have never had one so I didn't know! I learned, precious!

I'm thinking once a month.

I got 4,318 miles from this last trip on American Airlines.

I have no idea what that means.

Dang, yer good!

That Ward post was when I was in the thick of it over in the Crusades. I was attempting to just leave over there. The last post Ward made said "I'm taking a self-imposed break." The FReepmail threats (the real ones) came right after that.

Hmmmm...some memories I just don't need. But Ward was such a cool screen name...

Okay, one more time I gotta figger out dinner. Jr. is vey finicky, so it's gotta be basic or I hafta cook twice.

I gots frozen chicken in the freezer I could thaw and do something with. At the same time I'm aleady havin' to stop by the grocery store anyway.

Gotta buy sugar. Nana and Jr. drink real southern sweetened tea. Before Nana moved in Jr. just drank what we made (with Sweet and Low) and we probably hadn't purchased sugar in well over a year...
