The Hobbit Hole XII - Tree and flower and leaf and grass

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Oh, I got my nails done at the place down the street and didn't care for it as much as Walmart. They were rougher and took forever. My cuticles were tender when I got home and I massaged neosporin into them a few times.

They look nice, though...I got a new color. Not as dark as what I wore to Hair's wedding...not as pink as the second color I got.

When's Wn getting home?

Did you get your cellphone back?

I am not sure when she'll be back.... she's at her gramma's now, no internet access. Then I think she said something about visiting others in Waco for about a week before going home. So may be a while longer before she returns, unless she finds a spot to plug her laptop in ;~D

I'm not telling them either. They'll figure it out.

Yeah, I'm with you. I don't have time for all the tin foil. I spent a good portion of last week trying to tell a thread that the President is NOT mandating mental health screening for everyone. Couldn't get 'em to see that.

I wanted to say, "No, it's not for everyone, just you guys."

The old adage "Go with what you know" applies heavily in regards to salons! Stick with the folks who do the job right as long as you can. Too much risk involved with shopping around and you will always get what you pay for!

Better to pay an extra buck or two and have your hands done nicely, than save and have them put through a meat grinder.

Hair already answered the WN question. ;-)

And yes, I got my phone back last Thursday. It was wrapped in two bubble wrap bags and the box was stuffed with peanuts. It was like a phone pinata when I ripped the box open. LOL!!

I'll give you my cellphone info...that way you can call and chat anytime you want (as long as it's after 6pm your time or on the weekend.)

I think things are still settling down. Today is the first full day with no visitors around! I feel like life is still a bit stirred up, and I didn't go anywhere!

Same here, chica. If you use Verizon, we can talk anytime because we're "IN" network. Other wise, nights and weekends are fine by me.

I get free long distance on my cell phone as well, so I can call your house if you need me during the day during the week. :-)

I'm US Cellular...

Wn's called me before...she let me know that Ecurb and Hair were getting married, because Steve was home and I wasn't online.

I pretty well figured it out because she was so excited on the phone! She was almost shouting "Get online!! Get online right now!"

It was a hoot.
