Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We were watching the NASA channel part of the time, but there were two little girls running through the house, I was trying to make sure I didnt screw up a cake recipe and hubby DEAD tired...so I missed much of the hullabaloo.

You're welcome, and thank you very much! We both had a great time, and were very glad to be there!
To: Alkhin
Our cable system doesn't carry the NASA channel unfortunately.

Boy-howdy, "display" is the right word for it, fer-sure!
Oh, we were happy to come out! Thank you and Dona and your sweet father for having us! We had a blast! I wish we could have stayed longer! And don't be too surprised if you walk into the Tides one Saturday and see us there! I spent a good amount of time plotting the drive from Austin to Tumwater, and I mean to make it one day!
I loved that place ... and Hair's and ecurbh's, under the tallest trees I've seen since Sequoia National Forest ... and the beachhouse! And that cool neighborhood where Scott lives!
<smirk>Did anyone tell you how I dozed off on the deck and nearly fell out of the chair?

It doesn't look quite
real, does it? Like artwork, or an artist's rendering.
Saw an artist's rendering over on the live thread, and the fake one looked so bleh.

Just wanted to thank those who prayed for my friend's wife's surgery. It seems to have gone off smoothly. Thanks much!

Good tunes on the local Juke...
Litte Def Leppard... Pour Some Sugar on Me.
Not that I'm recommending it. Sounds sticky. Though, of course... that's the whole point, I guess. :-)
