I was kinda fond of the "Millennium" suit.
It gave Godzilla that predatory look by lowering his head and thickening his side profile.
The enlarged spines balanced out nicely the requirement of the long neck.
See what I mean?
It seemed as though they were focusing on what the beast should look like rather than the requirements of the actor inside the suit.
