Count on the DVD to be released in about 6-8 months. That's the usual cycle of Toho releases. They'll probably release it through Sony or Columbia, like the rest, and make it a Special Edition of some sort.
Numerous reviews are up over at MonsterZero. I've simply been too busy to post them all. Feel Free to do so, if you're inclined! They're all over the place on opinions.

True. She was a DAMNED hot lil' G-Girl.
Hey, 007 had "Bond" girls. We can certainly designate "G" Girls. Momoko Koichi startred it all as Emiko Yamane in the original Gojira. She just recently died, too, after appearing in a cameo as Emiko in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.

The top three on my list would have to be:
1. Anna Nakagawa - "Emmy Kano" from Godzilla Versus King Ghidorah.

2. Yôko Ishino - "Yukari Yamane" from Godzilla Versus Destroyah.

3. Yumiko Shaku - "Akane Yashiro" from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
Gotta go and get something to remove the jaw from the keyboard now.

I only like the old Godzilla movies, through the Seventies. I think that my favorites are the ones with Mechagodzilla. The first one with him was hilarious-the one that had the girl singing to awaken the Pekingese dog-looking "monster" to help Godzilla fight Mechagodzilla.I like when Godzilla and his opponent of the moment do their sumo-wrestling stances too.

That dog-looking thing was King Seesar. He also makes another appearance in G:Final Wars.

If that's the one where the aliens bring Mechagodzilla back to life and the daughter of the scorned bitter vengeful scientist helping them is an android, I have that one.I just received about a week ago from Amazon on DVD, I need to watch it again.
Speaking of DVD's, I bought some kind of DVD of Emerson Lake and Palmer concert clips, and studio tracks from "Brain Salad Surgery",all on the one DVD. It will play the whole thing on my computer, but only plays the music part on my regular DVD player. It won't show the video part on my regular DVD player. Is this one of those DVDs that you need some special DVD player for? Please pardon the off-topic:)

Nope. It's the new one where Japan makes a new MechaG from the bones og the original Godzilla. It came out in '02.
Your DVD problems sound like a region thing. DVDs run differently on American players than, say, Japanese ones. Check out
this link and it'll explain more.

I'll try to be open-minded and watch the new one:) I've never seen any of the ones past the Seventies,I'm afraid they'll ruin the whole "Godzilla mentality" for me-I love the cheesiness factor.
I just looked up the Emerson Lake and Plamer DVD I ordered at Amazon-it's a DVD audio, not DVD video. You have to use a special player to watch the video part on your TV(it's ironic-a regular DVD player will play the music part, but not show the video part!),but it plays in the computer just fine, all of it.Thank goodness, because I don't want to buy a special DVD player just for this one DVD!

WHEW!!!!!
Did you know that Megumi Odaka, who plays Miki, was 17 when she made her debut as a G-Girl in 1989's Godzilla vs. Biollante?
She looks like a real sweetie. Actually, that's what she's rumored to be amongst fans who've met her.

Ack! It's the redheaded stepchild of UltraMan.
Call the Planet X truancy police! Jet Jaguar is skipping Planet X Super Hero school.
To: Xenalyte
Yeah, Ultraman! I used to watch it religiously after school back in Memphis, Tennessee in the late '70s. Without Ultraman, I might not ever have wanted to see a Godzilla movie.
