I certainly agree that we don't want to become the evil we seek to remove.
I also believe we have to be sometimes rather harsh with more or less pure evil. But we need to do so as strictly according to God's will as much as possible. Managing that with secular strictures is an interesting issue.
And believers best keep in mind that we really wrestle not against flesh and blood. And we'd best be sharpening our spiritual warfare tools now. Getting oil and sharpening tools will likely be a tooooo late thing sooner than many could imagine.
