Oooh, hang around. I'll find us a fight when I get back.

If nothing else, we'll post a thread and start one.

To the musically knowledgeable:

I'm getting ready to list a bunch of old violins on eBay. Near as I can tell none of them are in complete working order, but all of them could be made so with some parts and TLC; my sister collected these years ago with the idea of fixing them up. Or you could just polyurethane the carpe diem out of them and hang 'em on the wall in one of those retro theme restaurants (like Cracker Barrel).

Any ideas about what sort of value to assign to them?

Anybody want first crack at 'em?

I'd love one if'n the price is right. We've got a handmade hammer dulcimer, an antique banjo and some sheet music from when my dad was in the army in the late 40s. A nice lookin' violin would fit right in.

Or, if they're playable, wife wants to take Suziki violin lessons with Luke.

OK, here goes.

Taxes are beautiful things; you can engineer all sorts of lovely behavior from the huddled masses if you tax 'em right.

Owning murder tools ("guns"), like possessing burglary tools (a "screwdriver") while walking in a residential area at Oh-Dark-Thirty, should be a capital offense; of course, killing people to show that killing is wrong, is wrong, so "capital offenses" lead to long stretches of "therapy" and "sensitivity counseling." In an environmentally sensitive concentration camp.

Everything should be free, from medicine to food to clothing to camping equipment. See what happened when you let the Army operate under that philosophy.

/sarcasm /kidding

Walking through the living room is highly overrated anyway. ;-)

Is it your mess or the jedis?

Well does the apprentice thread killer learn.
Soon he will be strong, and I will be old and weak, then he will strike me down and a NEW thread killer will rise to ascendancy, thus assuring the cycle is complete!*
