Yes, I know what those are saying, but it ALL goes together.
This 'thing' we're discussing is supposed to virtually end life on this planet. Yet the Bible goes through a lot of stuff pertaining to Israel, her neighbors and events to happen before Christ's return. How will all this be possible if we're all annihilated first in a couple of weeks?
In any case, I'm not worried. We can't change what we can't change. If we get blown up this June, I'll see you on the other side. But honestly, I believe in the great "Beam-me up". No 'scientist' told me about that one. The Book did.

One thing that we as Christians rest in knowing for sure, God is in control.

And if he has allowed objects in space to be on a collision course with earth, then he can in an instant cause them to veer off on another course.

Or, he can reduce the impact as he has done more than once to reveal his power to a sinful world.

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all.

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luke 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body [is], thither will the eagles be gathered together.

You know something? I'm a Christian, too. I believe that God is there and is every bit as omnipotent and omniscient as the Bible says He is.

I also believe that it is entirely possible that the end of the world is *thousands of years* away. I will continue to believe that, even if we *were* get hit with a flying object from the Gamma Quadrant.

Are we in the end times? Maybe, maybe not. So far, what have we got? The Jews have returned to Israel. Okay, what else? I am not a Biblical scholar. Someone fill me in here.
Perhaps more to the point, what generation *hasn't* thought it lived in the end times? Huge, spectacular disasters happen. Big rocks have fallen from the sky before. They can't *all* be harbingers of The End.

I don't worry about the end times. I don't worry about Big Rocks Fom Space. As a Christian, I worry about stuff that I *can* control, like doing my best to do what God wants me to. You even have to be careful with that. There are people that sincerely believe that God wants them to blow up busloads of innocents. Well, He gave us brains and varying degrees of common sense. It's up to us to use them appropriately.

Like when people with 'secret information' start going on about pole shifts and superstorms and rocks from space and on and on and on...
