Just wading! No swimming!
Understood... but there's no bitey things in the waters here. Not a single one. The closest thing to a shark is a relative of sandsharks called "dogfish". They're small, and I suppose if you caught one and held it up and stuck your finger in it's mouth it might bite... but even then it might just hurt a little. Actually a salmon probly has bigger and more painful teeth.
They don't bite anything, well, "off".
Nothing bites here. Even the sand fleas *here* don't bite. The fish don't bite. The seals don't bite (people). The otters don't bite (people). The absolute worstest thing might be the occasional red jellyfish... but they're uncommon and you really gotta work at it to get stung... they only sting a little... sorta like a mild sunburn, and it goes away.
It is a wonderous world of harmless wildlife. It's God's country.
