just a lot of trying to get things to the right place, missing flights and having to figure out what to do next, lost luggage, etc.

I've been on that trip! My first trip to Austin was like that.

I'm fine on the plane, too... Rose is the one who gets nervous. I had to talk her down from a near panic attack one time... she wanted to get up and walk off the plane before they closed the door. That's the main reason we haven't flown anywhere for so long.

When I went to Germany - one of my first long flights alone - EVERYTHING went wrong, just about. I had a flight cancelled, missed a connecting flight because of the previous flight's cancellation, lost my tickets temporarily, ended up on a flight to Germany that was FIVE HOURS later than my original flight, and couldn't get in touch with anyone at my receiving base. When I got to Germany, I finally got through to someone in my shop and found out THEY had written the date wrong, so thought I was coming in the previous day. I had to get a bus down to another base nearby, where someone I didn't know picked me up - the gal who was supposed to be sponsoring me (i.e. helping me get in and settled) was on temporary duty somewhere else.

I had been up for over 24 hours by the time I got there, and was a nervous wreck!
