Did you or Steve give Joshua instructions about how to handle those gravel slides so he can think about bein' prepared next time?

He was turnin' left. If there's time try to turn right, put down left leg to catch self and throw right leg over the bike to get off? Sometimes.... sometimes you can stop the skid and sometimes the bike goes down but you can just step off and not get hurt.

I think Steve actually might have taught him something last night after they rode to the store for the ice cream. I got on my bike and rode down to watch them practicing in the church parkinglot down the street...he had him driving through gravel, but I never saw him slip.

Although I don't know if anything coulda stopped this slide...he turned the same instant he hit the gravel, going too fast and went down FLOP right on his face and right side...seemed instantaneous.

Remembering it, I ran over to him and it seemed like I just flew...like my legs didn't even move. I was standing in front of my driveway and he fell in the neighbor's driveway, so he wasn't too far, but still a bit of a distance. I ran, jerked him up, dragged his bike out of the driveway and in to the neighbor's yard, still holding him and then ran back with him in my arms...and I don't recall ever being out of breath! Shaking, but not winded.

Adrenalin...good stuff that!
