They are putting in a whole nother bridge to add an HOV lane. That's it.... two lanes, same as we got now, and an HOV lane.
Now. If you are going to go to the trouble to build a bridge a mile long couple hundred feet high, that will take years to build, wouldn't you splurge a little and make it wide enough to plan for expansion?
Everyone within 20 miles of it voted against it.... so they expanded the voting radius to include the surrounding counties to get enough votes. People that never drive it approved it.... sounded like a good idea to them....
But ya see, they could vote for it cause they ain't gotta drive across it and pay the tolls! Seemed okay to them.
Isn't that why ya'll have firearms? Is it time to use 'em? :-)
You forgot the part about where we get to pay $6 for the priveledge of driving in the same two lanes we had before that were already bought and paid for with tolls.
State law prevents them from putting a toll back on a bridge that was bought and paid for with tolls. So... they build another bridge and put a toll on that, but then make each bridge only one-way each way.
