This is the neck of a geoduck stickin' up. I told ecurbh to grab it, so he could see how ~strong~ they are. Hard to hang on to when they pull back! The shell he lives in is probably a couple feet down. This is one of the things I want 2J to try when she is here... it's sort of like noodling!
