Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Mornin' LF; I readily see the reference, shouldn't there be a few alligators in there to obtain the proper effect? :-)
Have a safe journey as you commence to make your way to lands by the western sea.
Sometimes things you really dread are the memories you cherish the most in retrospect, if that makes sense.
But buildup and high expectations and stress are all part of a wedding, unfortunately.
We're here with you, sis!
I don't know how I'm gonna get through the day, I'm so excited!
WOW that is some kinda curling iron, Rose!! Took me a sec to figure out what it was!
I used to have a curling iron that the bristles retracted...pulled right into the curling iron it's self. That worked great, no caught hair. But when it died, they didn't seem to make them anymore...
I've never been able to use the plain bristled kind and was always scared of the metal kind with the clamp...seemed like I always was getting burned.
I have the same problem with hot rollers...the bristled kind, you know...with the hard plastic bristles. I get my hair tangled on them, can't get them out and have to walk around with a roller hanging from my head like a dingleberry or I burn myself. (I seem to be accident prone around hot things...I burned my forearm on the iron a few weeks ago.)
So I thought these sponge rollers would be safe...no heat, no injury! LOL
Pshaw... Nothin' to it. Just keep smilin'
Yup. I am glad we 'low-keyed' it as much as possible... but it's a big day no matter what!
Morning!
We can always get 2J to do something to take all the attention off ya. We'll get her into a state and give her a box fan! :-D
Mornin'
The phone and charger are in my purse.... :-)
Nice try.... but these are actually all family and friends in attendance... not sure I want a brawl to break out.
Thanks Osage. I'll be heading east to Dallas on the first little leg of my trip on 6 hours or so! eeeek!
I can see why you'd get the bristle kind stuck in your hair. have to have pretty short hair for those. I'd never get it back out of my hair.
Maybe we can just make it small... just enough to need her sprayed with a hose. No blowing it out the shorts. :-)
2J's a good friend... she'll ease your stress for ya.
Is there a box fan flying at *me* yet? :-)
No.... that wouldn't help, but thanks for caring!
I've got to get in the tub here. Breakfast in two hours!
Okay, ya'll may want to just hope that I get out of Dallas tomorrow without getting thrown in jail. This brother that I'm going to stay with tonight - who is my ride to the airport tomorrow has been talking trash about Myranda and my other brother's daughter since the little family trip to Colorado at Christmas.
I have not seen him since this all happened but he just better not say nothin' to me about Myranda or Amanda. I will be keepin' my mouth shut if he keeps his mouth shut... but if he says somethin.....
I suppose I woke up in a brawling sort of mood... knowing I gotta stay with the brother where I gotta mind my P's and Q's tonight.
I was just thinking the other day about how few times there are in our lives when we get to honor another person...really go all out, dress up and act serious...very few times. Weddings are rare indeed.
I'm just so thankful (and I bet I speak for all of those going) that I got to know you and that you want me at this event. That's quite a compliment.
I don't have any expectations except that I intend to do whatever I can to make your day lovely and memorable. Something you can look back on all your life and say "That day was just about perfect."
Oh, there'll be little glitches, but I imagine they won't matter and will fade from memory, leaving only the shining perfect moments behind. Or they'll be little memories that come up and give you a chuckle now and then...something to recount when you think about your special day.
Take it slow, enjoy the day like a fine wine...don't rush around fretting! We'll follow your lead.
Heh heh heh...remember the party scene in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown?"
"He's my friend, 'til the bitter end..."
Morning sneak.
"but if he says somethin"
Just don't mess up your nails!!!!!!!!
;-)
