Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

What's cool about Bimini is that it's only 45 nautical miles east of Miami, so it's reasonably accessible for a seaworthy boat.
I'm sorry I can't make Seattle this month for your wedding, but am working on a wedding present for you guys that I hope will be OK.

We ask for nothing but your friendship, and appreciate that you have given that! If you are working on something, we'll love it because you worked on it Sam!
You ~will~ see your banner at the wedding... The Long Expected Party banner. We are gonna hang it up where everyone can see!

Ramius's laptop might be busy being the cam server! - we haven't got the whole thing worked out yet!
We've been looking at cams and decent wireless ones are really expensive for what is really a one-day need. But wired ones are pretty affordable. We might have to set up Ramius's laptop ~in~ or ~on~ the boathouse to run the cam with.
We have to make a decision soon if we are going to order something and test it. Ramius, will you be hip to doing a webcam test this weekend with this cam we have and your laptop?

Adds character... Uncle Lynn is one of those guys who just never says anything bad about anybody. In my wilder years he said somethin' to me that really had an impact though. Told me that in life I was supposed to *have* character, not *be* one. LOL Made me think. Had an affect.

Oh! So you really would like me to bring my laptop. Okay, I can do that. I thought you were joking!
My laptop is wireless capable also... I know you said expense.... just want to tell you it's available. But, since you need it, I will bring it.

It isn't the wireless computer that is the problem. Ramius has a wireless LAN at the beach house that will reach down to the boathouse. (You should check with him and see if your internet card would work there before bothering to bring it) It's the wireless ~camera~ that is expensive. Like $250-$400 for ones that have any features at all, like a good picture and the ability to focus it and adjust for light. A good wired one (USB) is in the $60-100 range.
