Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Golly... lovely foot-topic you have going there. Maybe we can chat it up about ear-wax? :-)

Well, I was working on something nice there! Shall we move on to ear-wax? Or shall I go wash my dishes?

There is a saucepan, a spoon and a spoon rest. Should prolly wipe down the stove too. Seems like a good project right now.

Hmmm... seems to me that three things does not a dish crisis make. IMHO.

FYI... I generally do dishes when I run out of clean glasses. That seems to be the indicator item in my kitchen. By the time all the clean glasses are used up, then there's enough silverware and plates and such to bother with a load in the dwasher.

While I don't have any scars on my feet, I have scars in other places that we could discuss...

Well, I guess if I were gonna run out of some kind of dishes it would be glasses first. But, I'm afraid if I waited to run out of something - with me here by myself - it would take several weeks. By then I suspect there would be bugs and odor!

We had music night at someone else's house so we could be outside - he has a big backyard and deck. It was nice until we started to get eaten alive by mosquitos.
Going back to reading. I've read some already, earlier, and I just wanted to pop in to say...
Spoiler text - > I KNEW Sirius was a good guy! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! And I'm getting a feeling I could develop a crush on him, even if he IS the same age as Harry's dad. No fangirl am I...

It depends on what kind of bugs you're talking about but, that just might be where they come from sugar. LOL

Skeeters would make it not fun! That would require copious sprayings of Yard Guard IMO!

Actually, you have seen a picture of my biggest worst scar. It was about 4 inches long and really nasty looking cause it didn't heal right. But, I have a nice tattoo coverup over it now and you really can't see but about 1/2 inch of it now. Interesting that you can't see it in the tattoo, but it still feels the same.

Hmmmm.... I just looked at the tattoo photo. You can see more of it than I thought. It's not as bad as before the tattoo but it still is obvious. Maybe I need more ink to finish the coverup.
I used to be very self-conscious about that scar because in any swimsuit people were always asking me how I got it! So, I knew it was noticeable from pretty far off.
Now, I folks just notice the pretty tattoo.
Now, the scar on my face.... well, nobody usually even notices that... or at least few people say anything about it anymore. My hair is usually covering it but I think it is not so noticeable as I have aged.

I had not noticed a scar on your face!
I have one on the side of my nose, that I got when I was about 4 or 5 and my dog bit me...
