Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I've noticed that there are no stray cats in Mexican towns like Puerto Vallarta. Down there they are simply called "free range" cats.

Panic does bizarre things to people, and they'll do really odd things under stress.Like wish they had a shot of whiskey after 10 years of being on the wagon?? That's what happened to me after I saw that roof shooting through the air toward me yesterday!
We gots power...got it back around 3 hours ago. Steve is enjoying a hockey game whilst in a horizontal position.

yum, lembas. Hi all. I just finally got to watch ROTK tonight on DVD. I'm right shy of cash these days ya know. Made me miss you guys. Thought I would come in and see what was up here.
Peter Jackson and crew deserved every single award they got, and then some. Nothing comparable will ever be done again.

Actually, that is not such a bizarre response. Pretty normal if'n you ask me. ;~D

I had some of the best BBQ ribs I've ever had down in Cabo many years ago. I'm pretty sure, on reflection, that it was probably dog. Even my Southron buddy that wuz with me said it was some mighty fine BBQ.
Oh well...

Well, I woulda drank it and praised the Lord for it.
I swear, I needed a valium or something afterward...I was pretty freaked for a few hours afterward and didn't sleep well even last night. I had the shakes pretty bad and would wake up in the night shaking!
If given the choice between a whiskey shot and a valium though...I'da taken the shot...wouldn't have wiped me out totally.
