In all fairness, that's quite true.
Very judgemental of me, probably coming from personal choices , and some regrets, regarding career choices and the impact on children.

Jackie Kennedy once said something pretty harsh but thought provoking. She said it doesn't much matter what a woman accomplishes in her career if her kids don't turn out right.

Trina Schart Hyman, a famous and fabulous illustrator of childrens' books, once said in a seminar, that she's known many women artists with children. She said, quite rightly, that it's impossible to do both WELL without help. Many try to do it all, and end up sacrificing both.

It's much easier to bask in the glow of celebrity than to celebrate the daily joys and challenges of parenting.

All I know is that no amount of recognition or success is as sweet as raising a grateful child.
