Trina Schart Hyman, a famous and fabulous illustrator of childrens' books, once said in a seminar, that she's known many women artists with children. She said, quite rightly, that it's impossible to do both WELL without help. Many try to do it all, and end up sacrificing both.
It's much easier to bask in the glow of celebrity than to celebrate the daily joys and challenges of parenting.
