Parsley is great IMO because it is a biennial but will re-seed itself. One you have it going if you let it go to seed you won't have to be concerned about having it perpetually. At least in my experience.

Dill used to work that way for me at the old place too.... till Myranda's dad started mowing it down before it went to seed. *sigh*

And until this year I always had basil that did that too. I finally found about 3 little basil plants coming up this weekend but not near like I've had in all other years.

My dill didn't come back. But it grew faster and better than anything else last year, so I'm not too worried. I'll have dill.

I'm beginning to get this image of Myranda's dad as a maniac who spent all his time mowing EVERYTHING, flower beds included...
