Yeah, the skiing is fun, though I believe you are better at it than me if you can slalom. However, I didn't start hurting 'til about 24 hours later...glad I could still do it, though, if I'd not managed it, I'd have had to keep trying 'til I did, no matter what how many tries or days it took ;-)
I may want to try the wakeboard next.
Yes, the toast went over good, however it was straight from the heart anyway.
THAT is the most important part! And it's what makes it so impressive. Even when you post it here, all of us know how much from the heart it is. That's what made it so spectacular! :-)
Far as skiing goes. It's what my family did from April to October when I was a kid/teenager. Somehow, I don't even remember it causing pain or sore muscles when I was learning! Certainly I never remember popping up on the skis and then thinking my muscles were screaming obscenities at me!!!
And for the record... the only reason I slalomed that day... was like so many other things in my adult life... I just had to do it to show the others that I *COULD* .... no matter how much I hurt! I am not thinking that way of life is sane. But, I've been stuck in that rut for years. Am trying to come up with a new philosophy. :-)
