I laughed out loud when the NASA chick radioed to the space station, "We're getting reports down here that the storm is breaking up; what are you seeing up there?" and only then do the astronauts *look out the window* and see that yes, the storm really is breaking up! Like they wouldn't be monitoring the storm continuously and reporting regular updates to the ground... like the Earth isn't surrounded with dozens of satellites that would be sending pics down to NASA and NOAA every few minutes...

NASA's connection speed was slow that day because it was using dial-up :)
