Nothing.... just looked up and saw a whole bunch of bats zoomin' around. Never noticed bats here before!

That could be kinda spooky!--like that one scene in Temple of Doom :) I've heard there's bats around here but never seen 'em, I figure on account'a they're sleepin' when I'm out.

Japanese film ping:

From a review in U.S. News & World Report: For the first time! In American theaters! It's the original, uncut version of . . . Godzilla !!! The black-and-white 1954 movie is a classic in Japan, but American audiences got stuck with a cheesy, dubbed version with 40 minutes edited out and American actor Raymond Burr gratuitously edited in. Now the original has finally made it to the United States, with a new print and subtitles, and it's a surprisingly good movie. Sure, Godzilla is played by a dude in a rubber suit, but there's also great music, a love triangle, an antinuclear message that was watered down in the previous U.S. version. The monster's rampage across Tokyo, breathing radiation and stomping destruction through a city that had been firebombed less than a decade earlier, is genuinely heart stopping. You can find theaters showing Godzilla and view the trailer at Rialtopictures.com . -Helen Fields
