Speakin' of which, things have been better with Jr. lately. We think the last meltdown was 1) just after his girlfriend broke up with him and 2) just after grades came out.
Grades have come up (slightly), and he's been much more mellow. We were concerned about how last Friday's events would affect him. His comment was "It can't be Glen, he's cool." We were a little disturbed that he thought a drug dealer was cool. Also disturbed the dealer lived in our neighborhood.
But I wish you guys could have seen the youth production. I know I've talked a lot about our productions, but this was vey cool. And the message was vey relevant to teenagers - including Jr. Made Mom and Dad realize that Jr. has his own levels of stress.
Jr. played in the trash can band. And they're taking that on tour next month. They'll also be seeing "Stomp" on Broadway. My little boy is growing up.
Well, at least one of them. The other one used me as a human trampoline during Sunday night's performance. Last night we got a sitter.
oooooo... I hate it when they do that...
good werd 'bout Jr....
does Glen need killin'?...
This is something that I see more fully now that Myranda is older too. She has talked a lot about some of the things going on during her high school years that just don't sound real for a teenager to have to deal with. She always talked to me a lot.... more than most kids.... but since she's away from home she's done even more. Gees, I dunno how some of them kids come out sane!!!
