I went to one of those Monsters of Rock concerts... maybe the same one, Van Hagar was there.
I went to a lot of those head banger types concerts young.... but the best concerts were later, in college, when we all had season tickets at an outdoor amphitheater where we saw all kinds of mostly mellower shows. Some really good shows I wouldn't have seen by themselves, but saw because of the season tickets.

You guys know my friend Celeste, right? By best buddy? Well, she went on Atkins a week before I did...she is really overweight, but used to be very athletic. She's doing really well, loosing between a pound to two pounds a week!
Anyway, I asked if she wanted to start walking every Tues and Thurs after I drop Joshua off at school and she agreed...so we began a few weeks ago.
She could barely walk around the park 3 times.
Well, she walked today at a pretty quick clip for about 35 minutes!
I'm so proud! She's doing great!

It was probably the same concert. If I remember correctly it was in 87. Hmmm...
Did Kingdom Come open? That was the band that tried to sound like Led Zeppelin but failed. I participated in throwing hunks of sod from the ground (at the Orange Bowl) at the lead singer until they finally gave up and left the stage.

I went to a lot of those head banger types concerts young....Okay, ya'll are makin' me feel old now.
Even more so cause I know how old I was when I was goin' to those concerts. I was thinkin' *I* was young then. But, I know how much younger than me the 2 of ya'll are! It's a good thing I am an elf.
