If the idea is to share great lit thru film...DON'T use the newest "Count". They changed it. A lot.
Probably the best film adaptation I've seen came out in the 70's with Richard Chamberlain...but you'll have to look for it.

The closest thing we got here is "The Man in the Iron Mask"... with DiCapprio... I ain't goin' there...I was going to avoid that for the same reason--I can't stand DiCaprio--but I was forced to watch it when a family member rented it, and it was actually better than I expected and DiCaprio was actually tolerable. I agree with ExGeeEye, though: the Chamberlain one is way better. Douglas Fairbanks' version is still the best, though.
