Shhaaweeeeet....
Hey folks... on that note... I'm gonna need to be bailing out here pretty quick.
I dunno about MP3's...I've never checked to see if it does those...the sound quality is just spectacular, unbelievable to those of us who grew up in the 60's and 70's and had walls full of equipment to try and produce this kind of sound.
Glad you found a precious before you left!
Night. (((Ramius)))
Nice... does it handle loads of multiple CD's?
Carousel of five. Cool thing is you can put in all kinds at once -- DVD, SACD and regular CD -- it just switches between them seamlessly. And it boosts the sound quality of regular CD's (because it's sampling rate is so high. The wiring makes your regular CD's sound a lot better. But after hearing a SACD or DVD on them, you won't want to listen to anything else.
And... we are gonna get treated to listening to this in 3 weeks - right? :-)
Baby, we'll blow your ears right off!!!!
I do still have my DVD player, and it's a Sony but not that model. It plays CD's and MP3's and stuff, but I'm looking to have a changer again. My changer was a Yamaha... which really was nice while it lasted, except for the part about now not really working at all.
I dig Yamaha gear too. My home theatre gear is Yamaha, with about a 500 watt amp and 5.1 speakers.
For the weddingmoot, though... I'm pulling my old Speakerlabs outta storage. Arrrrggghhh.... Speakerlab. When REALLY LOUD IS JUST NOT ENOUGH... GET SPEAKERLAB.
I've done structural damage to dorm rooms with those bad boys. :-)
<laughing!> I could say something really, really naughty. See how restrained I am, that I'm not saying it?
You'll have to. Too many years riding with straight pipes has *affected* me.
Of course, the speakers (Bose Jewel Cubes) are only about 10 feet from where 2J is sleeping and 20 feet for OT. Ah, well, we'll deal with one issue at a time.
Shweeet... thanks for the tip.
Time to go... shopping...
You are a beacon. :-)
Good thing I didn't say it was FUBAR.
I am starting to feel very young again! LOL
You're a beacon!
2J has hearing issues too. She prolly needs the added volume also. :-)
This model is specifically for SACD, but plays DVD and regular CD as well. Remember the old Advent Bookshelfs! It took a helluva lot to blow 'em, but we worked hard at it! Yamaha has great amps and preamps. I tell ya -- get this SONY SACD/DVD and hook it up to that Yamaha power and get some haul-ass speakers and you can take over the South Sound.
Roger that... I'm hoping for noise complaints from Evergreen State College. Only about forty miles away as the vulture flies.
You're inspiring me ...
