Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Lol! Very astute observation. I don't EVER want to experience that again!
But the swinging on the porch swing watching the dawn with Steve was night...after I calmed down a bit.
Remember how excited I was when you guys picked me up in Houston and I had been dealing with that woman that gave me that odd flavored drink? Remember how freaked I was?
Magnify that times a thousand! LOL

I'm wondering if Ramius is having his bad DNS-anti FR stuff again.
Or maybe since he finally got it to working he was tired enough to go home and go to bed.

No...I don't recall seeing the people again...we were never there, though. We only slept there, stayed at my brother's or were at the rodeo otherwise...

"Whiskey Girl" and "Redneck Woman" are just fine.
But how 'bout some Bonnie Raitt? Chaka Khan? Miss Etta James? Skeeter Davis? Bobbie Gentry? Tanya Tucker? Miss Loretta Lynn? Alicia Keys? The Fifth Dimension? k. d. lang? Queen Aretha? Nancy Wilson? Gladys Knight? Anita Baker? Dinah Washington? Mary Wells? Dionne Warwick? The Pointer Sisters?
I can make a kickin' all-girl party platter. All love songs ... some naughty, some nice, and a lot with a marriage/wedding theme.

Lyrics in case you ain't heard the song.
GRETCHEN WILSON
"Here For The Party"
Well I'm an eight ball shooting double fisted drinking son of a gun
I wear My jeans a little tight
Just to watch the little boys come undone
Im here for the beer and the ball busting band
Gonna get a little crazy just because I can
[Chorus]
You know im here for the party
And i aint leavin til they throw me out
Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some
You know im here, im here for the party
I may not be a ten but the boys say i clean up good
And if i gave em half a chance for some rowsy romance you know they would
Ive been waiting all week just to have a good time
So bring on them cowboys and their pick up lines
[repeat chorus]
Dont want no purple hooter shooter just some jack on the rocks
Dont mind me if i start that trashy talk

Hey there...
I got really flustrated wit da dude at Wayport tech support. They got a DNS problem like nobody's bidness. I think they just just need to stop and restart the name service on da nameserver box. Expressing this to the guy on the phone was apparently fruitless.
He was remote into the box and "had no trouble resolving addresses"... yes... I know that. I can resolve addresses too. [sigh] I just don't know why these things are so hard sometimes.
