New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I think the bachelorette 'shindig' changed last night. Weren't you paying attention? :~D
Ha! You think havin' all us gals at *your* place is gonna keep us from being in a party mood?
How's this for a playlist? I ain't as refined as ecurbh though.
1. Gretchen Wilson - Here for the Party
2. Toby Keith - Whiskey Girl
3. Gretchen Wilson - Redneck Woman
4. Big & Rich - Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy
and of course, no Hobbit Hole bachelorette party would be complete without PIRATES... so...
5. Pirates of the Mississippi - Redneck Rock N' Roll
:-)
Oh, maybe we need to add Hank Jr's Wild Streak.
~chews grass and scratches head~
Well, Rose would like my picks! At least I'm sure of that one. hehehe... sorry...
Rose, see post 6862
I'm finally back!! Had a long chat, so now I'm tired. LOL!!
I saw the playlist and I'm so happy that Fly Me To The Moon is on there. I love Big Band music and that song is a particular favorite. :-)
I'm still here!
Ramius is having FR trouble again! :-(
Perhaps he's lurking though. We could make faces at him! And taunt him unceasingly! :-)
On second thought, I think we very well may meet up first in Gig Harbor, so that we can all hang with together with the guys... Scott and Ramius and ecurbh, before heading down here... I just won't want to be up anywhere near what would be called late. So we should come back here in time to settle down early. I think it will be in my favor that you guys are coming from a later time zone. ;~D
I really don't want to be tired, and certainly not hungover at my wedding.
If'n you love Big Band music, you'll have to check out my MP3 collection while you're here (currently clocking in at 53GB). I have just about everything Sinatra ever recorded. Also lots of Mel Torme. And some Bobby Darin and Vic Damone. And Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, Les Brown, Doc Severinson...
Cool! I can keep my eyes pried open for a few more minutes.
Oh and Ramius....NANNY NANNY BOO BOO! *wink*
We don't want you tired and we especially don't want you hung over so we will follow your lead. I am sure I speak for the other Hobbit Hole gals in that. We want your day to be the best so getting to bed early will be a priority.
Trouble is, do you think we'll ever be able to go to sleep that night! We'll all be supercharged on adrenaline!
No worries, chica! We'll all be Mother Hen-ing you to death....making sure you get plenty of sleep, etc.
And yes, I do believe the time difference will mean that I will be a walking zombie the better part of the evening. :-)
Me, too :)
Dittos!! It helps that I will be spending the night at the motel with my family.
Ring-a-ding-ding!!!
That era was just *so* cool!
How about...
Would you like to swing on a star?
Carry moonbeams home in a jar?
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a fish? *grin*
Hair thinks the lyrics are too corny, though. :(
But, Ramius ---
I will either be hyper because of all the excitement and visitors, or I will be catatonic from the sensory overload of that whole week!
Heaven, Im in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When were out together dancing cheek to cheek
Heaven, Im in heaven
And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gamblers lucky streak
When were out together dancing (swinging) cheek to cheek
Oh I love to climb a mountain
And reach the highest peak
But it doesnt thrill (boot) me half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek
Oh I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I dont enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek
(come on and) dance with me
I want my arm(s) about you
That (those) charm(s) about you
Will carry me through...
(right up) to heaven, Im in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When were out together dancing, out together dancing (swinging)
Out together dancing cheek to cheek
