Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sounds like a criminable trial....or one of those EC comics from way back.
They tried to put the Cryptkeeper on trial once, but he got off because they ended up with a hung jury--you might say he exercised his right of habeus corpus--heeheeheeheehee!

I just know alot of suicidal people actually.
This is the same guy who got the dart to the backside.
He also, later, had another knife I sharpened lance through his shoe into the floor.
He took his shoe off and left it stuck to the floor while he inspected his foot.
His shoe was cut to shreds when I tried to remove the knife, so that may have been a good thing that he took the shoe off.

I like comics for kids myself! I'm one who prefers comics before the rise of the independents and the marketing to an adult audience. Marvel took a step forward in the 60s-70s in terms of realism but I think since the late 80s or so they and DC have drifted from realism into decadence. I didn't care for Watchmen in that respect. I found Moore more interesting on Swamp Thing.

I don't know what his relatives were, but he also set himself on fire once, and got himself bit by a parakeet.
I think he was simply cursed at birth.

sounds like CLUE. Haven't played that game since, hmm... I can't remember the last time I played that game. It WAS one of my favorites, though.

LOL!
I don't know how that guy managed to accomplish all those accidents of his.
Like this one, he jumped on a bed, and somehow smashed his head into the ceiling and knocked himself out.

Dunno, I'm 5'5" tall, and this guy made me appear taller than that, if that tells you anything.
He did seem to have an insane deathwish, like when he rolled across the hood of a moving car.
(But he was trying to escape his MOM at that point, so I don't blame him.)
But the dart, the fire, knocking himself out, and the two knife accidents were out of hand.

My family still owns the copy of Clue bought in 1974...the people on the box cover and suspect cards (all of the weapon and location cards as well) were photographed.
It's still in good shape and has at least half the "notepad" sheets.
The oldes game set in the inventory has to be the Scrabble set the folks received as a wedding gift. In 1963.

No, but he did call himself "little Jase" or "Jason the short".Aha!--now we're getting somewhere. Jason Voorhees is still out there, eh?--that might explain how he's able to survive all that damage. . .
