Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

ARNIE'S PUB! It's that seedy place I went to that time and had a great session! Remember, Steve took me??
They are having a session this Sunday...we can go and even join in, if we get brave!

Well...if I get too skeered I can always send ya to OB and LSA....they have furniture. :)
To: 2Jedismom
I dunno about joining in....maybe after a few stouts but that might put Steve off.
To: Overtaxed
Ha ha! Steve won't go...he'll be thrilled there's someone else to go with me instead of him.

Hows it going everyone!!!
Y'all are reading a post by the new Best Actress of the 2003 Season of Fort Bend Theatre. The awards ceremony was last night and it was a lot of fun being there.
So now I am going to be insufferably pleased with myself for a while

No can do Jolt cola.
Heh...forgot to tell this story. Nana and Jr. like their southern "sweet tea." We use sweet and low in ours and really can stand the sugar anymore. The other night Nana made a batch of tea.
Jr. kept saying he was smelling toothpaste. Nana just said, "this tea's not very good."
Apparently Nana had gone into the flavored box of teas and pulled out 7 teabags. 'Course there were 6 different flavors in the box.
