Wife attended the Richmond Homeschoolers graduation on Saturday. Michael Farris spoke. She came back even more convinced to homeschool Luke.
She's becoming one of them Stepford Homeschool Mothers...;-)
Heh! Having trouble with too many moots? What a problem to have!
My younger siblings are tryin' to talk me into doing a road trip this summer, visiting some Hobbit Holers along the way. They say it'd be good for me, since I need to get better at driving in traffic...and we could camp along the way so it wouldn't be that expensive. I dunno...
Heck, if I could choose, I'd choose seeing hair getting married!
At least we can live vicariously.
But you WILL be at Entmoot 2. I can't wait! Wish it wasn't so far off...
Yeah...this job interferes too much with my personal life. :)
If you want to camp out in an unfurnished KC apartment, come on over! At least I have a coffee grinder.
I went to hear Steve Largent speak at a homeschool graduation a few years back...just to hear him speak, didn't know anyone graduating...
It was so moving that cried all the way through it and I didn't even know the kids! LOL They had slides of the kids growing up and the kids talking over the slides, you know? A Powerpoint slide show. Then each parent came up on stage and gave the child the their diplomas...it was very emotional.
Yeah...well I'd already RSVP'ed to Hair's shindig. 'Course I'm still working on shoes and stuff...
I'm checking out Kilkenny Road...we might do that instead of the powwow...if they are playing...

Yeah, that's what the wife said. I don't think they did slides. But each student had their parents present their diploma. Michael Farris helped hand them out.
You can do that when there's only 57 graduates.
That would be cool!
Yes, I will be there, definitely! That's an easy half-day drive...
Right...there were 32 that year I went, IIRC. Vey moving.
Says they aren't playing anywhere, but I'll contact John and ask him.
Oh well....guess we could always play for your girls and stop egg production for about a month!
ok...I emailed him. We'll see.
LOL!!! We could play "Crested Hens!" LOL
Don't think I know any chicken tunes....
We play "Chicken Reel" sometimes, too.
Heh...you might find it a bit frightening if we actually took you up on that. ;-) We'll see...I'm not sure what route we'd take. We have plenty of family in the midwest, so I imagine we'd be heading that direction. Probably no further than that, in any case, since we wouldn't have all THAT much time to work with.
