Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's digital. :-(
I'm going to call a couple of places tomorrow and find out. I'm just so paranoid of them accidently erasing it! I would have to kill someone.

Shoot Moot. That's got a nice ring to it. That'd be worth driving to (instead of flying) so's to bring weaponry in the trunk.

Evening Bear; you've probably seen it enough then, traveling at night is a good way to see it. :-) I-70 is quite a nice road out there, in MO, whoa, it is in need of 'series' work. I've actually lost track on the number of times I've criss-crossed it, n-s-e-w, but I like it. Traffic is very manageable out there on prairie.

Hey there... where ya been? Yeesh... it's gettin' late.... :-) Well, I got sorta bad news but not really... and then great news.
We can't film the last of the video stuff till next Tuesday. Which puts the project another week late.
But, that means I could stay home in Valley Mills for another 4 days. So, Uncle Lynn took Aunt Cheryl and I over to Clifton (the Norwegian capital of Texas) for dinner. :-)
Just got back. Way too full.

Yes, I like the countryside in Kansas, it's quite pretty. I've only ever driven up and down I-35, on the way between Texas and Michigan. That route is actually a little longer than the Arkansas/Illinois/Wisconsin route, but I like the drive better, so that's the way we've travelled the last couple of times.
To: RMDupree
Well, couple of the bridges we drove over, were under water for a while. Indian Creek, Turkey Creek and the Little & Big Blue were all out for awhile. My usual way to work using M-350 was closed at the little blue in Knobtown. Took the freeway, along with everyone else. It is orange barrel city around here again.

Even at Entmoot, I wouldn't go near the water.
I'm simply terrified of sharks, jellyfish, barracudas, man o'wars, stingrays, etc. I've made a silent pact with them all...I stay out of their territory and they stay out of mine.
Works well, actually!

Nope, Memorial Day is one of our big rally weekends. It's a mandatory run to Gulfport. It doesn't look like my bike will be fixed by then but I'll be required to do something.
