Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Chilly to me is 50-60 degrees. Anything colder than that is COLD, if not FREEZING! 100% agreed!

No... no.... no... COLD is back in the icebreaker days. There were days when they ordered the weatherdecks secured (meaning nobody was allowed to go outside). That was at about -60 or so. Beyond that if you go outside and breathe in... your lungs freeze. Now, THAT is cold.
Ah... the memories... takin' a baseball bat outside to break the ice off the ship to keep it from becoming top-heavy and tipping over. You just can't buy memories like that. :-)

You just can't buy memories like that. :-)And you'd want to buy those? :-)
Now, stories about tropical heat. Sweltering in the desert, those I could deal with! :-) Just don't like to be cold! But, I do like to hear *you* tell about it! Just glad I wasn't there!

Some like it hot, I guess. :-)
Me, I prefer a gentle chill in the air. Gotta stay frosty. :-)

Some like it hot, I guess. :-) Well, when you live here I suppose you either get to choose to like it hot... or be miserable all the time. I'd rather deal with it and enjoy life!

I am sorry, if it's chilly I want ya to keep me warm! Can you deal with that? *grin*
